The much-awaited music video for “As It Was,” the first single from Harry Styles album Harry’s House, has been released, featuring the vocals of his rumored goddaughter, Ruby Winston.
Watch the music video below:
“Come on Harry, we wanna say goodnight to you,” a child’s voice says before the song launches into a catchy ’80s-inspired hook.
Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, Styles’ longtime collaborators, co-wrote and produced the song.
In the music video, Harry stripped down to a pair of scarlet shorts at one point, wearing an entirely red outfit.
Tanu Muino, a Ukrainian director, shot an accompanying music video in London. It portrays Styles in a red sequined leotard performing diverse routines alongside a woman in a blue version of the same outfit, whom he pulls away from over the duration of the song.
Harry teased the release of this new song on social media prior to releasing it. Harry shared a photo from the music video on March 28. He was photographed facing away from the camera, walking down a hallway. The singer wore the same gleaming red suit in the sneak peek photo.
According to a press release, Harry’s House will have a total of 13 tracks. Between 2020 and 2021, the album was recorded in a variety of locales around the UK, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
The 13-song collection will be released on May 20. While many people wish the CD would arrive sooner, they would be grateful that Harry continues to treat his fans with care and introduce them to new songs.
Styles teased fans with a sequence of tweets under the Twitter handle You Are Home, which also had an Instagram page. Last month, he was seen filming a music video outside Buckingham Palace on a big bed.
Meanwhile, Harry announced on Instagram that he has added more dates to his Love On Tour, which will begin on June 11 in the United Kingdom, Europe, and South America. – WhatALife! / Francis
