Patrick Roa: ‘Aviation passion bug’ flying across generations

Patrick Roa, a known aviator who hails from the City of Golden Friendship, shares his awe-inspiring story on how he turned his dream of becoming a pilot into reality.

For those who don’t know, Patrick is also the first grandson of Pio Roa, an Olympian athlete, Ateneo Hall of Fame sportsman, and a basketball coach for the pre-war Blue Eagles. Although he was only five years old when his grandfather died, remarkably, Pio’s fascination for aviation somehow passed on to his grandson.

As he traversed into his aviation career, Patrick had already built around 13,000++ hours and flown in an astounding 40+ different types and models of aircraft.
