These high-profile individuals are one of those people who are confined or have been released from the respective hospitals where they were admitted. Let us discover who these celebrities are and high-profiled individuals who have been and still victims of COVID-19.
#1 Iza Calzado
The actress has revealed her current status on this health pandemic in an Instagram post last March 25. She is currently confined inside the hospital due to pneumonia, with her pending COVID-19 test results on the said date. Three days after, her manager confirmed that the actress is indeed POSITIVE for COVID-19. After a few days of her stay in the hospital, she got a COVID-19 re-test, and it results in a negative. She was discharged last March 31 after she completed her IV antibiotics.
#2 Christopher de Leon
The veteran actor was the first Filipino actor to be tested POSITIVE for COVID-19. On his Instagram post, he confirmed that he was tested positive for the said health pandemic. He was then confined in the hospital for weeks, and his condition got better, which leads to his doctors to give him the signal to be discharged and go home. The actor will undergo self-quarantine until he feels better and will fully recover.

The senator’s admission of being tested positive for COVID-19 has become a trending topic after he was reported rooming around the Makati Medical Center after the result. It is said that the senator was in the hospital because his wife was supposed to give birth.

Senator Miguel Zubiri was reported to be the first senator in the country to be tested positive for COVID-19. A resource person when to a Senate hearing where the senator was present before the COVID-19 patient was tested positive. The senator said he was feeling okay during his interview with “24 Oras”.

General Felimon Santos, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, was tested POSITIVE for COVID-19. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana confirmed this information. The general is currently at his residence in Camp Aguinaldo, where he undergoes home-quarantine that will last until April 10.
#6 Sylvia Sanchez and Art Atayde
The veteran actress confirmed on her Instagram post that she is tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 along with his husband, Art Atayde. Sylvia said that they both experienced symptoms of the disease like chills and shortness of breath last March 24.

Bongbong Marcos, the former senator, is tested POSITIVE for COVID-19, according to Vic Rodriguez, his spokesperson, that confirmed the given information. The former senator’s sister also shared that his brother, Bongbong, was not feeling well after he arrived in the country from his trip to Spain.

The senator was the third confirmed positive for COVID-19 senator next to Senator Zubiri and Senator Pimentel. In his text message that was released by GMA News, Senator Sonny felt a mild fever, cough, headaches, and general weakness. His test result was published last March 26, and on the same day, he confirmed his current state on this health crisis.

The singer Joey Bautista died last March 19 with a pending test result of the COVID-19 test. His wife, Belinda Bagatsing, has confirmed that Joey died due to COVID-19.

The industry’s fashion designer passed away last March 26 due to related complications of COVID-19. The designer was said to have pneumonia after having contact with COVID-19 positive. Lifestyle Asia reported that Ito was confined inside the Asian Hospital and Medical Center for one week before he died.
