Oro records highest number of recoveries in one day with 68


The City Health Authorities in Cagayan de Oro City listed on Wednesday 68 patients who have recovered from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the city’s highest on a single day since October.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said on Thursday, November 5, that 68 patients in the city had overcome the deadly disease.

These brought the city’s number of COVID-19 recoveries to 1,142 out of 1,790 confirmed cases since March 25.

Cagayan de Oro City also recorded on Wednesday 28 new infections, including 11 local cases with links, nine local index cases, and eight local authorized persons outside of residents (APORs).

Out of the cumulative total, 574 are active cases, 36 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 517 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and 21 cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also no new death, the death toll in the city remains at 74 with a fatality rate of 4.13 percent.

Of the cumulative total, 366 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 21 active cases, one death (ROF), and 344 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 1,424, with 517 active cases, 73 deaths, and 798 recoveries.
