In line with the upcoming All Saint Day and All Souls Day celebration, this November 1-2, the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) announces the redevelopment plan of the Bolonsori public cemetery into a City Memorial Park. The renovation
CLENRO urges the families and relatives of those who rest at the public cemetery to transfer the remains, especially in Phases 1 & 2, as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, for those unclaimed remains will be placed under the big cross.
According to CLENRO – City Memorial Park focal person Sol Mosqueda, an approximate of 44,000 remains are buried in the public cemetery since 1982.
Moreover, Mosqueda reminded the incoming visitors not to burn dried leaves and such inside the cemetery under the City Ordinance 13378-2018 or the City Ecological Solid Waste Management Ordinance.
The Bolonsori cemetery has a total of 19 hectares, which will undergo renovation starting January of 2020.
