Cagayan de Oro City Anti-ASF Task Force has reminded the public against bringing in hogs and other meat products coming from areas with reported African Swine Fever (ASF) infection on Wednesday, November 18.
Pork products coming from Luzon, Davao region, and Cotabato remained ban until further notice.
In an Executive Order No. 172 signed by City Mayor Oscar Moreno, the following meat products coming from ASF-infected areas are not allowed to enter the city:
- Pork tocino
- Pork longganisa
- Pork hot dogs
- Pork chorizo
- Pork chicharon
- Pork siopao
- Pork siomai
- And other meat-based products
“Tabangan nato nga ma protektahan ang industriya sa pagbababoy,” the City Veterinary Office said in a post.
