Five teenagers on the lam hide out in an empty train. Little do they realize that ghosts occupy the train on their way to their final judgment in hell.

Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

It is a 1968 American psychological horror film written and directed by Roman Polanski that was based on the 1967 novel of the same name by Ira Levin, following the life of Rosemary and her husband. After the couple moved into an apartment, the female lead started hearing and dreaming strange things. When she got pregnant, she suspected her neighbours had sinister plans for her baby.

The Unborn Child (2011)

A couple and their young daughter are haunted by a paranormal, malicious presence — which is soon linked to a temple and a series of abortions.

The Platform (2019)

A 2019 Spanish science fiction-horror film directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, set in a large, tower-style “Vertical Self-Management Center”. Its residents, who are switched every 30 days between its many floors, are fed via a moving platform filled with food starting at the top floor and gradually decreasing as it descends to each lower level.

Horror Story (2013)

A Bollywood horror film directed by Ayush Raina, following seven college friends who spend a night at an abandoned hotel that was rumoured to be haunted because of a dare.

23:59 (2011)

A 2011 Singaporean-Malaysian horror film following a platoon of army recruits who were forced to confront a terrifying secret after a fellow recruit was found dead.

Spirit of the Glass 2: The Haunted (2017)

Out of boredom, a trio of girls tinkers with an inherited Ouija board that opens the doors of their lives to three spirits who have connected with them. Unaware that they promised to help them seek justice for crimes that were committed years ago, the spirits start harassing the three girls, forcing them to connect with a blind medium to help them end the haunting.

Aurora (2018)

A fatal shipwreck spurs an islander innkeeper and her sister to recover the missing victims’ bodies — until the dead come seeking shelter themselves.

Bring Back the Dead (2015)

Overwhelmed with her son’s death, a grieving mother seeks to return her dead child to life through supernatural means.

Tales from the Dark 1 (2013)

The film is split into three stories based on short stories by Lilian Lee, which include the tale of a haunted fortuneteller and a man who faces dire consequences after blackmailing grieving families.

Tales from the Dark 2 (2013)

The second installation of Tales from the Dark 1 (2013), it is divided into three segments: Pillow, Hide and Seek, and Black Umbrella.

Ladda Land (2011)

The 2011 Thai horror film, directed and co-written by Sophon Sakdaphisit, is based on a story about a family who moves into a new house where they gradually begin to encounter paranormal events.

The Maid (2020)

The film tells the story of a girl named Joy, a new maid who starts working for a wealthy family living in a haunted mansion, who soon uncovers her employers’ secrets and encounters supernatural inhabitants.

Phobia 2 (2009)

Thai horror film featuring five supernatural tales of karma in this sequel to the 4bia anthology.

The House that Never Dies (2014)

The story is based on that of a purportedly haunted mansion, Channel No. 81, located in Beijing, China. The mansion was a three-story French Baroque-style house built in the 1800s by Qing officials. After moving into the legendary old mansion, a writer started getting haunting visions of a ghost from China’s Republican Era and uncovered a greater conspiracy.

Kanika (2017)

An Indian revenge-horror film directed by Pushkar Manohar following a doctor and his colleagues who use sex-determination testing for unethical ends face retribution from a supernatural victim who seeks vengeance.

Dreadout (2019)

A group of high school friends decides to livestream themselves inside a haunted apartment building, but end up opening a portal to hell.

Still (2010)

The film features four horrifying stories featuring picked from Thailand’s most gruesome headlines.

Ghost Child (2013)

A Singaporean horror that revolves around a family fighting against the titular “Ghost Child”.

#ALIVE (2020)

Based on the 2019 script Alone by Matt Naylor, the film revolves around a video game live streamer’s struggle for survival as he is forced to stay alone at his apartment in Seoul during a zombie apocalypse.

The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018)

The sequel to The Strangers (2008), the psychological slasher film follows a family vacationing to a secluded mobile home park, where three masked offenders attack them.

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

The second instalment of the American slasher film series Friday the 13th. Set five years after the events of Friday the 13th, the story again follows a group of camp counsellors who arrive at a training camp at Crystal Lake, only to be murdered one by one by an unknown assailant.

Friday the 13th Part 5 (1985)

It is the fifth instalment of the American slasher Friday the 13th franchise.

Ghost Ship (2002)

The film follows a salvage tug crew in the Bering Sea who discover a mysterious ocean liner that disappeared in 1962.

The Ruins (2008)

It is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Scott Smith, who also wrote the screenplay. The supernatural horror film follows an idyllic vacation of four young Americans in Mexico when a mysterious tourist persuades them to join an archaeological dig, taking them into a dangerous turn.

Apartment 1303 (2012)

The US-Canadian co-production is an English-language remake of the 2007 Japanese film Apartment 1303, an adaptation of the novel Apartment 1303 by Japanese author Kei Ôishi. It revolves around a woman who investigates a series of suicides in her late sister’s apartment.

The Paranormal Investigation (2018)

It follows a ghost hunter as he investigates a young man who was possessed after playing an Ouija game.

It is a 2016 Persian-language psychological horror film following a mother and daughter who are haunted by a mysterious evil in 1980s Tehran, during the War of the Cities.
