LAS VEGAS, USA — Actor Michael Shannon reprises his role as General Zod in DC Extended Universe. The upcoming superhero-based film will hit theaters on June 23, 2023.
As stated by DiscussingFilm on Twitter, Warner Bros. announced during CinemaCon 2022 that Shannon is reprising his role in 2013’s “Man of Steel” in The Flash, which stars Ezra Miller in the titular role.
Shannon’s character in the 2013 film led the coup against Krypton and killed Jor-El, forcing the planet’s leading scientist to send his son, who would later become Superman, to Earth.
During his 2020 interview, he discussed the possibility of his character’s appearance in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Details surrounding the plot of the film are currently scarce. However, based on multiverse theories and the appearances of alternate versions of the titular character in comics, this film will explore parallel dimensions, with Ben Affleck reprising his role as Batman alongside Michael Keaton’s character in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns.
Moreover, Miller will also portray an evil version of himself in the film.
In a previous interview, director Andy Muschietti explained that the film’s storyline is about to accustom the introduction of DC properties in its future movies.
“This movie is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a unified universe where all the cinematic iterations that we’ve seen before are valid,” he said.
Ezra Miller’s arrest in Hawaii.
The Flash star Ezra Miller, 29, has been dealing with legal issues since his arrest during a traffic stop in Hawaii on charges of assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. According to USA Today, he allegedly threw a chair and hit a woman in the forehead at a house party.
About 12 hours later, Miller appeared for a court hearing through Zoom regarding his latest arrest at a karaoke bar, where he reportedly grabbed a mic from a woman and lunged at a man playing darts. – WhatALife!
