With over a million people all over the world who tested positive for the coronavirus disease, it is no surprise that Hollywood celebrities and other influential people are openly admitting that they have become victims of this health pandemic.

Many of these public figures were exposed to the public or had recent contact with a tested positive patient. From Prince Charles to Tom Hanks, these public figures and celebrities are just some of the few famous people who have been frank about their illness and are diagnosed with COVID-19.

 

#1 Prince Charles

At the age of 71, it was revealed in a press release from Clarence House last March 25 that Prince Charles was diagnosed positive for COVID-19. It was stated that he was feeling mild symptoms but remains in good condition and was still working from his home throughout the past few days, as usual. Furthermore, his wife Camilla also tested for the illness, and according to the same source, the results came back negative.

 

#2 Chris Cuomo

The 49-year-old CNN news anchor and the brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 recently last March 31. He wrote on his tweet that, “I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive.” Chris still plans to film his “Cuomo Prime Time” show from his basement, where he undergoes self-quarantine, despite the feeling of chills, fever, and shortness of breath.

 

#3 Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have announced on his official Instagram account that they were both tested positive for COVID-19 last March 11. The couple was in Australia when they both felt sick and kept on posting updates during their hospital stay and on-going self-isolation. They are currently spending and killing time together that led them both to discovering Rita’s unknown rapping skills.

The 51-year-old host revealed on his official Instagram account post that he tested positive for COVID-19 and therefore initiated self-isolation inside his home. He also shared that the very worst part of being self-quarantined is being away from his 1-year-old son, Ben, on an exclusive interview days later his statement. He said here was suffering from body aches, loss of appetite and a sense of smell.

The British actor revealed on his tweet last March 16 that he tested positive for COVID-19. Idris said that he went to get tested right away after he got exposed to someone who has been recently diagnosed positive for coronavirus. He also left a piece of advice on his video for his fans to be vigilant about their health. He mentioned helpful tips as well, like initiating social distancing and washing hands to prevent the spread of the said virus.

This famous 26-year-old actress announced last March 16 on her Instagram post that she was diagnosed positive for COVID-19. She decided to get tested after she got herself exposed around someone who was recently diagnosed with a positive case. She shared that she was feeling a sore throat, fatigue, headache, fever, body chills, dry cough, pain in her lungs, shortness of breath and a loss of appetite. She also advises her fans to get tested right away if they feel the same symptoms and treat themselves as a positive case because they are most likely one.

The famous actor from Game of Thrones confirmed in his Instagram post that he had COVID-19 last March 16. He and his family initiated self-quarantine together after the results came. He said that they are all in good health, and he was experiencing a mild cold.

 

#8 Rand Paul

Rand Paul is the first senator and the third member of the Congress who was tested positive for COVID-19. In his a tweet posted last March 22 on his Twitter account, the senator stated that he was feeling fine and is currently on home quarantine. After his self-isolation, he is expected to be back in the Senate and will continue to work and serve the people of Kentucky at this trying time.

This 40-year-old Actress who played Camille from the movie, “Quantum of Solace” revealed on her Instagram post that she had a confirmed case of COVID-19. She said on her post that she is currently locked up inside her home after the results came. She also added that she was feeling ill for almost a week. According to her, fever and fatigue were her main symptoms of the virus. She also reminded her fans to take extra precautions and to take this health pandemic seriously.

These Hollywood celebrities and high profiled individuals are just some of the victims of coronavirus and prove that even elite people get sick. Health advisories continue to be broadcasted all over the news and on different social media platforms as the number of cases continues to rise across the globe.

The public is also encouraged to contribute significantly to stop the spread of the virus, even though small efforts such as staying at home where you are safe.
