#HAPIsabela: Isabela City officially launches its new city tagline

Isabela City, Philippines – On September 24, Isabela City officially launched #HAPIsabela, the city’s new tagline, at the City Hall Lobby.

The initiation was first introduced last July during then newly elected Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin Hataman for her 100-day plan in the office. #HAPIsabela is not limited to tourism promotion but also aims to “developed as a culture of the people of Isabela”.

‘hap’ is a Yakan term which means beautiful. A description of a city with a rich historic past – an explosion of colors woven together in a tapestry of diversity. The many peoples of living together as equals in Isabela City go beyond tolerance but deeply cultivate a shared will for welfare and mutual understanding.

The tagline goes beyond its remarkable tourist attraction. Apart from promoting a happy environment, it also showcased the unity of the locals amidst the diversity.

Mayor Hataman led the launching ceremony along with the Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary for Mindanao and Concurrent Regional Director of Region IX Madam Myra Paz Valderrosa Abubakar, Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman, and Vice Mayor Kifli Salliman. Isabela City’s key partners and sectors for progress and development also joined in full support and attendance.
