Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran surprises fans with a brand-new track titled “Afterglow” which is now available on all digital service providers and other streaming platforms.
Together with the track, Ed also released a self-created artwork and a one-take performance video of the song.
“Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you.” Ed Sheeran shared in a post on Instagram, “It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s. Back to dad land for me now, ciao x”
“Afterglow” is Sheeran’s first new music after having his first child in August, a daughter whom they named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

Ed Sheeran wrote the track with David Hodges and FRED. The latter also produced the track with Sheeran, meanwhile, co-production comes from PARISI.
Ed Sheeran was recently recognized as the most-streamed British artist of the year 2020 in the United Kingdom.
