Manila, Philippines (UPDATED) – In a video message released over the weekend, President Rodrigo Duterte orders the closure of all Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) operated, licensed, and franchised games.

Within 24 hours, he ordered the closure of all gaming outlets. This includes the removal of gaming and gambling materials of PCSO gaming schemes in public areas.

This order prompted due to alleged massive corruption in the agency.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines ensure to enforce the order immediately, closing 1,386 small town lotteries, 208 lotto establishments, and 306 Peryahan ng Bayan.
