MANILA, PHILIPPINES — DILG Spokesman, Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya stated that he sees no problem in resuming outdoor caroling in NCR, which was recently placed under Alert Level 2.

National Capital Region residents can finally resume outdoor caroling during the holiday season, as the Department of the Interior and Local Government recently permitted it, based on an announcement last November 6, 2021.

As stated by undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, the DILG has no problem with reopening caroling as videoke bars have also been allowed to open. However, videoke bars are still operating at 50% capacity and are for fully vaccinated individuals only.

Mayala further observed that caroling is not under the list of prohibited activities under status Alert Level 2.

Caroling was banned in the previous year due to the increase of COVID-19 infections. As the cases continue to decline and vaccinations are carried out, restrictions in NCR have been relaxed as of last month. – Jessa/WhatALife.ph
