Cagayan de Oro records 33 new COVID-19 cases; total now at 984


Cagayan de Oro City reported 33 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, October 8.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery announced 33 additional COVID-19 cases, of which 25 are local index cases and eight are local cases with epidemiological links to previously infected patients.

The cumulative total cases for COVID-19 in the city is now 984.

Out of the cumulative total, 333 (33.84%) are active cases, 20 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 305 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and eight cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced two new recoveries and no new death, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 606 (61.58%) and 45 (4.5%), respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 338 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 8 active cases, one death (ROF), and 329 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 646, with 305 active cases, 44 deaths, and 277 recoveries.
