Cagayan de Oro logs 17 new COVID-19 cases; total rise at 1,139

Cagayan de Oro City reported 17 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, October 15.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery announced 17 new cases, of which three are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), six are local index cases, six are local Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APORs), four are local cases with epidemiological links to previously infected patients.

The cumulative total of confirmed cases in the city is now at 1,139.

Out of the cumulative total, 359 (31.51%) are active cases, 30 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 320 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and 9 cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced seven new recoveries and one new death, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 729 (64%) and 51 (4.4%), respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 344 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 9 active cases, one death (ROF), and 334 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 795, with 320 active cases, 50 deaths, and 395 recoveries.
