CdeO logs 71 new COVID-19 cases; active cases now at 773

Cagayan de Oro City reported 71 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said the city logged 71 new confirmed cases as of 10 PM yesterday, 19 of which are local cases with known links, 28 local APORs, 21 local index cases, and three deaths.

With this, the city has a total cumulative of 5,540 COVID-19 cases.

Out of the total cumulative, 773 are active cases, 190 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 581 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and two cases under the ROF/LSI category.



Dr. Nery also announced 52 new recoveries and four deaths, bringing the total recovery and death cases to 4,533 and 234 respectively.

Aside from the COVID-19 admissions in NMMC, Dr. Nery said that as of 5 PM yesterday, there are now 113 COVID-19 admissions in different hospitals in the city, including JR Borja Hospital, Camp Evangelista Hospital, and private hospitals.
