Cagayan de Oro coronavirus cases rise to 2,133 with 17 new cases


Cagayan de Oro City reported 17 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Friday, November 20.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said the city logged a total of 17 new cases as of 10 PM yesterday, of which four are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, two local authorized person outside residence (APOR), and 11 are local index cases with one death.

With this, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the city are at 2,133.

Out of the cumulative total, 565 are active cases, 24 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 521 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and 20 cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced 25 new recoveries and two new deaths, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 1,477 and 91, respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 377 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 20 active cases, one death (ROF), and 356 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 1,756 with 521 active cases, 90 deaths, and 1,121 recoveries.
