Cagayan de Oro coronavirus cases rise to 2,088 with 10 new cases


Cagayan de Oro City reported 10 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday, November 18.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said the city logged a total of 10 new cases as of 10 PM yesterday, of which two are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), three are local index cases, four are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, and one is a local authorized person outside residence (APOR).

With this, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the city are at 2,088.

Out of the cumulative total, 575 are active cases, 25 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 532 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and 18 cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced 30 new recoveries and two new deaths, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 1,427 and 86, respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 375 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 18 active cases, one death (ROF), and 356 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 1,713 with 532 active cases, 85 deaths, and 1,071 recoveries.
