Cagayan de Oro coronavirus cases rise to 1,567 with 36 new cases


Cagayan de Oro City reported 36 new confirmed cases for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday, October 28.

In today’s press briefing, City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said all 36 new cases are local, with 12 local indexes, 5 local Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR), and 19 close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

The cumulative total of confirmed cases in the city is now at 1,567.

Out of the cumulative total, 537 are active cases, 24 are currently admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC), 499 outpatients staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), and 14 cases under the ROF/LSI category.

Dr. Nery also announced 13 new recoveries and one new death, bringing the total recovery and death toll to 962 (61.39%) and 68 (4.3%), respectively.

Of the cumulative total, 357 are under the LSI/ROF category, with 14 active cases, one death (ROF), and 342 recovered. Meanwhile, local cases rise to 1,210, with 499 active cases, 67 deaths, and 620 recoveries.
