Additional 1.5M doses of Sinovac vax arrive in PH

The Philippines received an additional 1.5 million doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines on Friday morning, May 7.

Cebu Pacific has safely landed the 5,000 doses of CoronaVac at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

With this, the country has now received a total of five million doses of CoronaVac, including one million doses donated by the Chinese government.

As of May 4, 3,970,680 doses have been distributed to 3,505 vaccination sites across the country. About half, or 2,065,235 doses, have been administered to 1,744,649 Filipinos. Of this number, 32,586 have been fully vaccinated or have received two vaccine doses.



The Department of Health (DOH) said Cagayan Valley, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga have used all the vaccines initially allocated to them by the national government.
