3 XU Alumni among top 10 lists of passers in October 2019 Chemical Technician Licensure Exam


On October 14, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the list of passers for the October 2019 Chemical Technician Licensure Examination (CTLE), with three Xavier University (XU) graduates in the list of top-notchers.

Dave Pangilinan obtained the top-five spot with an average of 91 percent. Mathew Talipan (90%) and Kimnard Duat (89.50%) placed 7th and 8th, respectively. Meanwhile, 36 out of 42 (85.71%) examinees from XU passed the board exam.

XU also garnered a passing rate of 50 percent, 4 out of 8 examinees passed, for the Chemist Licensure Examination (CLE).


University of the Philippines – Los Baños Alumnus Andrew Tabilog earned the top spot on CLE with an average of 92.25 percent.

Given by the Board of Chemists in Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and Cebu, 2,298 out of 2,834 takers passed the CTLE while 457 out of 1,085 passed the CLE.
