Thinking about changing your good ol iPhone 5? Here are the things you should know before going out on an Apple-shopping spree.


Apple launches its 2019 iPhone range on September 10 at Steve Jobs Theater. Apart from the live audience, this year, Apple has simultaneous streamed the launch via Youtube.

Sharing the stage with Senior VP of Marketing Phil Schiller and Senior Director of Product Marketing Kaiann Drance, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed the new iPhone range, featuring iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The Budget-friendly iPhone 11

  • iPhone 11 is available in six colors: black, green, gold, purple, red and white.
  • It has a 6.1-inch LCD screen with a True Tone display.

    • Automatic Night Mode for low-lighting photography
    • Its front camera has 12MP true depth with wide-angle selfies and a slo-mo video that captures slo-mo selfies.
  • New A13 Bionic chip, currently the fastest CPU ever in smartphones—beating Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro performance
  • Hours more battery life compared to 2018 iPhone XR

  • Power-efficient with five-hours extra battery life
  • Camera Specs:
    • Same with iPhone 11 Pro, shooting 4K resolution video
    • Time-lapse, slo-mo, and new cinematic video stabilization

Also announced Apple Arcade, Apple TV Plus, iPad 2019, and Apple Watch Series 5.

During the event, the company also announced its new games set for release in late September. Price runs at $4.99 (around Php 259) per month per family with a one-month free trial. Moreover, Apple TV plus will give a year free if you buy any from its products. Launching this November 1, Apple TV plus’ price range starts at $4.99 (around Php 259) per month for a family subscription.
